COVID-19 INITIATIVE
The recent corona virus attack & the subsequent lockdown has created havoc in the lives of many.
Our Trust immediately took the initiative to help the needy during the initial lockdown period of 21 days. Philanthropists joined hands with us to support the supply food packets to more than 1,000 people, every day as also to provide grocery bags for 1,000 needy families.
VACCINATION CAMP
SDTC Trust has been actively involved in various public welfare activities and more recently in supporting Covid warriors. On Saturday, 05th June 2021 our trust conducted Covid -19 vaccination camp at Dwarakanath Bhavan, Basavanagudi, Bangalore.
This second wave has created havoc and now we find vaccination as the only way out. To protect the younger generation and our youth SDTC Trust has taken a decision to vaccinate about 73 students in the age group of 18-24 for FREE OF COST & BPL family for 125 members at a subsidized price and 748 others at cost price.
SDTC trust was honored by Canara Bank with memento in recognition of the excellent contribution in the field of social service done during Covid-19 crisis.
In 2020 during covid-19 lockdown, the trust had organized the following works towards its social responsibility
- Distributed 1,800 packs of groceries.
- Supported monetary assistance to 175 deprived families.
- Provided 37,000 food packs for front line workers and medical staff in hospitals during the lockdown.
